Standing – The Thorn In Your Side

II Corinthians 12:7-10
“And to keep me from being puffed up and too much elated by the exceeding greatness (preeminence) of these revelations, there was given
Me a thorn (a splinter) in the flesh, a messenger of satan, to rack and buffet and harass me, to keep me from being excessively exalted. Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, For My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses
For Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”

When I was believing God to restore my marriage I heard someone say that even after the manifestation you never stop standing. It is the most exact and true statement that was ever spoken. One day my husband and I were riding in the car and he said “Cheryl you are not praying like you should.” After discussing the matter, I realized that I entered into a “rest” mode. I had been praying for years and now that I had breakthrough I decided that God wanted me to take a break. I mean He does tell us to rest in him, right? 😉 It was after that statement and an
revelation that I understood that my husband is my head and his head is Christ. If God told him that I was not praying enough then I had to accept
that was the case. Since then I have been on a daily mission confront the devil and his team of demons, sending everything they send my way right back to them. (Return to Sender!!!)

The splinter that Paul talks about in the scripture above is not an actual physical splinter. It is something that continuously was poking and
prodding at him attempting to make him give up on his ministry, call and life. The enemy never backs down, he just changes his ways of doing things to get you to give up. Every day that you wake up you must be prepared for battle against the thorn(s) in your side. Yes your family has been restored but the tactics that the enemy used to break it up will never cease. You must daily decree the word regarding your family and situations.

If your family had issues with finances and now has been restored. Continue to decree the word over your finances and tell the enemy what he will not do.
If you were a nagging wife or a controlling husband continue to declare and decree that you will not go back to those ways. If your family had issues with infidelity, continue to bind up the strongman associated with that issue, and all spirits connected to it sending it
back to the pits of hell where it came from etc. 1 Thessalonians 5:17 – Pray without ceasing……..the enemy never ceases so why should you?

When a doctor prescribes antibiotics he/she instructs you to take all of it even when the symptoms have ceased. Why? Taking the entire course ensures
That the infection is gone. The same thing goes for prayer. Manifestation of your answered prayers indicates that the symptoms are gone, but you must
Continue to take the entire course which ends at “until death do you part.” Prayer is the antibiotic that you will take until the day you leave this earth.
The manifestation of your prayers will continue throughout generations as long as Jesus delays His return.

Build the Ark – God’s standard

Isaiah 59:19 – “When the enemy comes in like a flood, The Lord will lift up a standard against him.”

As I thought about this scripture I began to see a correlation between it and the story of Noah.

Noah found grace in the Lord’s eyes and was instructed to build an ark that would hold his family and two of every kind of beast and animal. At this particular time there were no large bodies of water to accommodate this masterpiece so I am sure it looked silly to all who looked on. As you stand for what God has told you, holding tight to and standing on the Word of God do you look silly to people looking on? As you build your ark through prayer, fasting and faith do your friends and family tell you are crazy, accept whatever and move on…. I encourage you today to rely on God’s standard.

God’s standard does not look like our standards. His standards at time make no sense to those of us with natural eyesight. This standard that Noah built was built to save a remnant of mankind to begin again. The funny thing about it is that Noah was not perfect by any means but he found one of the godly twins “grace and mercy” and it made an exception to the rule.

There are many people believing God for rescue and deliverance from varied situations. These are not perfect people but people that have found grace in the Lord’s eyes. As you stand for your restored health, family, marriage etc. know that you are God’s chosen and that “Grace” is tattooed on your forehead, so BUILD YOUR ARK. Do not worry about the stares, glares and snickers behind your back and sometime to your face. Be obedient to God’s instructions through His Word and His still small voice. When God says turn left, turn left, when God says turn right, then turn right. Put on natural blinders to people and spiritual blinders to the lies and deceit of the enemy.

Natural: Negative report from the doctor: People see the reports, medicine, chemo etc.

Build the Ark: It is written: He was wounded for my transgressions, bruised for my iniquities, the chastisement of my peace was upon Him and by His stripes, I am healed.

Natural: Marital Separation

Build the Ark: It is written: God you hate divorce, and I place You in remembrance of Your Word, You said God “What God has joined together let no man separate.”

Natural: Rebellious Children

Build the Ark: It is written that my entire house would be saved and just as the prodigal son returned to his senses and home so will my children. Lord you did it for the prodigal father and you will do it for me.

Building an ark is not easy but necessary to save the remnant of your family for generations to come. In the end, I am sure the people caught in the flood were banging, begging and pleading to get on that ark as the flood came in. Once your ark is built there will be people that initially thought you were crazy asking either to get on your ark or assistance in building their own ark in some form or fashion.

Noah’s ark was sealed by God. You on the other hand will have the opportunity to open the door to your ark to those that God directs your way. When they come to the door say: He is no respecter of persons what He did for me He will do for you, there is a standard (God’s standard) for you!

Covenant Intruders

This morning I was listening to a you tube broadcast. The speaker began to talk about the confrontation between David and Goliath. The giant named Goliath attempted to use things that he had no authority to use to defeat David. As we understand in Genesis 1:28b God gave us dominion over the fish in the sea, birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.

Paraphrasing for time sake, Goliath told David 1 Samuel 17: 44 “Come here,” he said, “and I’ll give your flesh to the birds and the wild animals!” First of all, Goliath did not have authority to do this, this authority was only reserved to those who were in a covenant relationship with God. David says in vs. 46b – This very day I will give the carcasses of the Philistine army to the birds and the wild animals, and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel. David could do this because he was in a covenant relationship with God.

We are in covenant relationships with God and with our husbands’. Those “intruders” that attempt to act like us, or be like us can never be us. They do not have the authority that we have been given.

Your spouse may have them believing that they have this authority because of the words they are speaking to them or against their covenant spouse.

This morning I want to you to see yourselves as David saw himself. The “other person” has no say so in the life of your husband only you can go in on his behalf to intercede for him. Any other person is just like Goliath, and uncircumcised Philistine. So this morning, you tell that uncircumcised Philistine what their final destination is going to be. This morning slay that spirit of adultery, whoremonging etc. and give its carcass(worthless remains) to the birds of the air and the beasts of the field. You have the power and authority to spiritually assassinate every spirit that is coming against your marriage and feed its remains back to the kingdom of darkness.

Now understand that we do have to pray for the “other person” that they too become enlightened so that they can be saved, but the bottom line is no other person can come to you and tell you what they are going to do to your marriage!

Prayer

Lord we honor, praise and adore You. We ask for forgiveness of any and all sin. We plead the blood of Jesus over our lives, marital covenants and families now in Jesus name. We spiritually assassinate ever uncircumcised Philistine of adultery, rebellion, confusion, whoremonging in the name of Jesus and we loose covenant, unity, peace and faithfulness into each of our marriages now in Jesus name. We plead the blood of Jesus over our spouses relationship with You and stand in agreement that it is being restored even now. You are the head of their lives so we thank You for first reconciling them to You and then back to their families.

We ask Lord God that You send people into the lives of the “other people” to warn them of touching this holy union. Your Word says that You will make a way of escape. We pray that this escape is made as loud and clear as You made to Abimelech in that dream where he was warned to not touch Sarah. We bind Your Mind to our husbands’ mind, Your Spirit to our husbands’ spirit so that they can see Your Will for their lives. We bind, break and destroy every ungodly soul tie in sexual relations that has been made between the other person and our husbands in Jesus name. We bind peace, happiness and fellowship in each of these ungodly relationships.

We bind conception, pregnancy and birth in every one of these ungodly relationships. We loose confusion, contention and strife into each of these non-covenant, ungodly relationships. You said whatever we bind in earth is bound in heaven and whatever is loosed in earth is also loosed in heaven.

We ask all of this in Jesus name, Amen!

This Sickness……

Do you believe that God can heal any disease? Do you believe that God heals today?

In the world today there are so many different illnesses that happen in the lives of people all over the world. There are those illnesses that are happen stance and then there are some that are inherited. Generational curses could be placed in the category of those inherited diseases that arise in some of our lives. We had nothing to do with their origination but through the spiritual DNA of our ancestors we just happen to suffer from the consequences of prior sins. I knew someone that went through a bought of cancer that her great grandfather experienced. She had no prior knowledge of his condition until she was diagnosed. If we all would take a look into our lives we will notice things that are happening that we had nothing to do with its origination. It is not fair by any means. Sin is a spiritual sickness but Jesus came to heal every kind.

When we are unemployed, we pray for a new job and when we get it we say God did it. When we are sick, we pray for healing and say God healed my body. When we need finances to meet a need and God supplies, we say God provided. Can’t God heal any sickness your body or family is experiencing right now? The same God that healed the above situations can heal ALL situations, He is Jehovah Rophe!

‘And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.” Mark 4:23

When someone we love or care about approaches us with a negative report from the doctor (cancer etc.) we immediately go into prayer mode. We begin to search the scriptures, praying and fasting for God to heal their bodies. We send out prayer requests, prayer points and go into full blow warfare interceding for their supernatural healing.

I pose this question to those of you that may be experiencing issues in your family/marital lives as a result of a generational issue that you had no prior knowledge of and you are wondering where in the world this is coming from. You have been given a negative report by a loved one in regards to your marriage and you are trying to figure out what should be done?

When you pray for your loved one who is battling cancer using the word of God, can you also pray for your marriage that is suffering its sickness (lack of communication, separation, debt) as well?

Jesus came to “heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease” and that includes the sickness that your marriage is suffering as well. Some marital issues are generationally induced and some are self-induced either way I know a God that heals all manners of sickness and disease.

This sickness of conflict, betrayal, debt, and adultery is not unto death but for the glory of God, that the son of God may be glorified through it.

“When Jesus heard that, He said, “This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified through it.” John 11:4

You are not going to die in this trial (sickness). Instead you are going to find out what you are made of. You are made up of God. He made all of us in His image and His likeness. This trial will be used to expose your God qualities that He placed in you before you were formed. The answer to the sickness is in His Blood. His Blood has resurrection power and every time it is applied the sickness has to absorb the healing properties and be made whole.

This sickness…..is healed by the blood of Jesus. Decree your marriage, life, finances and family healed by the BLOOD of Jesus today!

“Who told you were naked?”

In Genesis chapter 3 the fall of man is described. Adam and Eve had been given everything that pertained to their life. They were provided food to eat, shelter, entrepreneurship and the ability to act as God in the garden. They lived in what was supposed to be spiritual realm here on earth. They could name a thing and it was so, just as the word says on earth as it is in heaven.

The enemy deceived Eve into focusing on natural benefits things her eyes could see, taste and smell over her God given ability to have dominion over her life and things around her. Adam in turns follows Eve’s steps and sin enters this world as we know it.

In Genesis 3:11 – Adam and Eve have found out that they don’t have any clothes on, and Adam tells God that when God called him, he was afraid because he was naked. God replies with the following statement: “Who told you that you were naked?” What has happened is that because Adam and Eve have come out from under the covering of God and have exposed themselves to natural elements and they no longer see things the way they did prior to sin. In the beginning they saw everything as God saw everything. He created them to be just like Him, think like Him, walk like Him and speak like Him.

Jesus came to set us back in right standing with God so that we could again be like Him, think like Him, walk like Him and speak like Him. The abilities that Adam and Eve had before the fall were all spiritual with natural manifestations. Nakedness came into play when sin entered in and removed their spiritual sight and replaced them with natural sight.

I ask this question to believers: Who told you that God was never going to answer your prayers? Who told you that God does not handle impossible situations? Who told you that they were bigger than God and that you just must accept it? Who told you that you were going to die of cancer? Who told your marriage was over?Who told you that?

In whatever you are believing God for, you must get back under the spiritual umbrella that Adam and Eve walked in before the fall. They only reason that those questions are racing through your mind is because you have come out from under God’s covering – HIS WORD! Get back under the covering of “It is written…My marriage shall live and not die and declare the goodness of the Lord, “It is written…..this sickness (cancer, separation,etc.) is not unto death, “It is written…I am blessed to be a blessing.” The only reason you see your situation in the flesh is because you have come out from under the Spirit of God which basis all things on the Word of God.

Get back to your rightful position and declare what is rightfully yours! Jesus paid it all and repaired the relationship that the first Adam failed to get right. It is finished! You have the authority that the first Adam gave up. Walk in it; declare those things that be not as though they were today, in Jesus name, Amen!

The Stand – A Restored Marriage – Lessons Learned V

1. Fussing leads to more fussing which leads to cussing which leads to God not being glorified, so just don’t fuss. Say what needs to be said and let it go. You can tell your spouse calmly and quietly that for God you live and for God you die and that you will not give up on your marriage. I know I did, LOL!
2. Silence is golden. Speak when led and “hush” when not led.
3. DO Not throw the Word at your spouse. Remember this is a spiritual war, you can’t throw a spiritual weapon at flesh and expect it to do anything, and it just leaves the person with a bruise somewhere on their body. 🙂
4. If you have children, try to not cry in front of them. It brings unnecessary stress upon them and you. Go into the bathroom run the water, turn on the fan if you need to cry or wait until they are asleep.
5. Always remember that your best friend has a friend who has a friend that has a friend and so on. Some things you only share with God because He is the only One that truly understands the beginning and the end.
6. Friends that support you in the beginning may leave the stand later and guess what? ITS OKAY because you have a friend that will NEVER leave you nor forsake you (JESUS) IS HIS NAME!
7. Stop prophelying to yourself. When God tells you to do something it will be confirmed. Don’t move on “I feel the Lord is telling me” etc. It is okay to ask God to confirm something you believe He told you and He will tell you when to move.
8. Do not create unnecessary warfare in your battle. You tell someone something, crying on their shoulder and they act as if they truly care. They then go tell their friend that has a friend etc. now all these negative words are in the atmosphere and eventually make their way to your spouse’s ear gates.  You have enough to deal with.
9. God has people all over this world interceding on your behalf. If your prayer partner does not answer the phone, don’t worry God has holy back up in place
10. God works on you first: forgiveness, love, controlling behaviors etc. As you are wheeled into surgery, let the surgeon do what he does best which includes cutting, removing, closure and healing.

The Stand – Praying for your husband’s self-confidence

Lord we praise, honor and adore You. We enter into your gates with thanksgiving and into Your courts with praise! Hallelujah! We ask for forgiveness of any or all sin so that we may come to your throne room boldly.

We come boldly to Your Throne today lying petitions regarding my husband’s self-confidence to place You in remembrance of Your Word because You instructed us to do so in Your Word. You said that Your Word will not return back to You void, and that if we ask anything in Your Name it would be done. We come to You with Your Word and faith the size of a mustard seed, speaking those things that are not as though they were understanding that faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen. We know that it is the voice of the Lord that breaks the cedars and that at the Word every demon has to bow its knee.

Lord I decree that Your Word says that my husband can do all things through Christ which strengthens him. God has not given my husband  the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind and in this my husband can boldly say, The Lord is his helper, and he will not fear what man shall do unto him. Though an host should encamp against my husband, his heart shall not fear: though war should rise against him, in this will he be confident. My husband acknowledges You in all of his ways, and You direct his paths. I declare and decree that my husband is confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in him will perform [it] until the day of Jesus Christ.

My husband does not cast away his confidence, which has great recompense of reward. He has patience that after he has done the will of God, he might receive the promise. My husband is crucified with Christ: nevertheless he lives; yet not him, but Christ lives in my husband: and the life which he now lives in the flesh my husband lives by the faith of the Son of God, who loved him, and gave himself for him. I decree that His divine power hath given my husband all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
And I decree that we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to [his] purpose and my husband has been called for a purpose and destiny that You ordained before the foundation of the earth. In Jesus name, Amen!

 

 

The Stand – A Restored Marriage – He Kept Me!

He Kept Me!

When I thought I was going to lose my mind – He Kept Me!

When I didn’t know how I was going to pay my bills – He Kept Me!

When I didn’t know which way to turn – He Kept Me!

When I wanted to go after another man to fill the void – He Kept Me!

When I attempted to get off of destiny’s course – He Kept Me!

When I lied in the middle of the bathroom crying from morning to night – He Kept Me!

When I was talked about – He Kept Me!

When the enemy used others to lie on me – He Kept Me!

When I looked crazy to everyone but knew what God said – He Kept Me!

When my child acted out in rebellion and I didn’t know what to do – He Kept Me!

When I was admitted to the hospital and had to have emergency surgery – He Kept Me!

Guess What? He is still keeping me!

No matter what situation you are dealing with right now, Jesus will never leave you nor forsake you. He sticks closer than a brother. He is the Alpha and Omega in your life! Look to the hills from where your help comes from. Jesus is His Name. His name is above every other name.

When you think you are losing your mind – Call Jesus, He will keep you

When you don’t know how you are going to make it to next month – Call Jesus, He will keep you

When people talk about you behind your back and in your face – Call Jesus, He will keep you

On sleepless nights – Call Jesus, He will keep you

Children acting foolish – Call Jesus, He will keep you

Papers been filed  – Call Jesus, He will keep you

If you look crazy for believing God, GOOD! (Note: Looking crazy to people is usually a huge sign that you are doing a God thing. Noah built an ark and said a flood was coming, Abraham was promised an heir at 60, and the list keeps going so add your name to it.)

HE WILL KEEP YOU! TRUST AND BELIEVE!

 

 

The Stand – A Restored Marriage – “The Scenic Route”

This morning due to my total enjoyment of sleep, lol, My husband and I were late to work. As anyone knows in this area traffic is the ENEMY! Every road that we normally take to our work destination was a parking lot to say the least. My husband via his GPS found another way for us to get to our destination but it had some scenery we had not seen before. We began to notice beautiful homes sitting on top of hills, large farmhouses and post card snow displays lying on the hills. Our fussing for our lateness turned into a new outlook on things we had not seen before.

Soon the light complaining turned into wow never knew this part of the county existed although we live in it. 🙂

I know many of you are going okay Cheryl where are you going with this? In regards to you standing for your marriage the way that you think you should get to your destination may be blocked with obstacles that you cannot get around. However, God in His infinite wisdom has another way to get you to your destination of a restored marriage. This “scenic route” is going to help you see things from a totally different perspective.  Just like there are areas of the county we have never seen before there are also gifts and talents that you did not know you had. Through this journey each gift, talent etc is going to display themselves through this scenic route. You are going to learn how to seek His face, speak His Word, walk by faith, worship, trust etc by going this way.

His ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are not our thoughts!

We still arrived at our destination even though the way we took was different than normal. You will experience the restored marriage that God promised you but it may not be the same route that I or anyone else took. Never compare your route to someone else.  You may have not been able to handle my route and vice versa. While each has the same destination of a restored marriage, each has a different destiny and purpose attached to it which may cause for different scenic routes.

The one commonality is that we each will get to the promised destination. He is no respecter of persons. What He has done for me, He will do for you, it’s just the scenery/directions will be different.

Hold on, the scenery may seem different but the destination is the same (A Restored Marriage)!

The Stand – Lessons Learned III

1. Please, James Brown please do not get caught up in what the enemy is saying to you through your spouse, mom, his mom, friend, grandparent, minister etc……but WHAT IS GOD SAYING????
2. The only reason Peter was able to walk on water is because he kept his eyes on Jesus. The only way you will be able to walk on water in believing for the restoration of your marriage is to KEEP YOUR EYES ON JESUS! If you keep your eyes on what is going on around you, you will drown!
3. Three fold cord of prayer, fasting and sowing will be necessary throughout your stand. Never go on last week’s word for your stand. That was for last week, find out what God is saying this week and every other week from now on.
4. Adults warn children to not touch the oven because it is hot and could burn them. Restored standers tell current standers: don’t go looking for things (emails, phone numbers, and his /her car) because you will find them and the information will hurt your feelings and make you feel like giving up.
5. God is working on you FIRST. The situation that occurred is just a symptom. God is trying to get out of you what he put in you. Stop fighting the process, you and anyone connected to you will get worn out! Your arms are too short to box with God so forfeit your will that you created and say Lord Your Will be done!
6. Your spouse is not your source. God is! Isaiah 54:5 “For your Maker is your husband, The Lord of hosts is His name; And your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel; He is called the God of the whole earth. ⁶ For the Lord has called you Like a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, Like a youthful wife when you were refused,” Says your God.”
7. The enemy really does not have to do anything. The enemy knows you will open your big mouth in anger and do it for him. 🙂 #learntokeepquiet
8. God is a jealous God and maybe just maybe your situation is not because of the devil but because you saw your spouse as God and God interrupted the relationship.  Get your vertical relationship right first and the horizontal will follow #IJS 🙂
9. A soft answer turns away wrath.  I don’t care what he/she, ow/om says respond with kindness. LOL it really works. They end up madder but you will have peace!
10. The covenant of marriage is not something that you try on and take back because you don’t like how it fits. You may have to gain “spiritual” weight to wear it or lose “spiritual” junk to fit it.
