Abram drove them away
And he said unto him, Take me an heifer of three years old, and a she goat of three years old, and a ram of three years old, and a turtledove, and a young pigeon. And he took unto him all these, and divided them in the midst, and laid each piece one against another: but the birds divided he not. And when the fowls came down upon the carcases, Abram drove them away. (Genesis 15:9-11 KJV)
In this passage. Abraham is being given instructions on an offering to lay before the Lord in regards to God’s promise of a child. I want to focus on the last part of this verse where it states “Abraham drove them away.”
There are many promises that the Lord has given each and everyone of us. Promises of healing both in the mind and the body. Promises of strengthening marriages, marital restoration, promises of childbearing etc. you have a responsibility in defending those promises to drive anything away that is in opposition to those promises.
How do you drive things away? By the word of God.
Standing over your promises declaring and decree in the word of God drives away demonic forces, negative words and any opposing forces.
After Jesus came out of the wilderness from the 40 days and 40 nights he was tempted by the devil. The way that Jesus drove the devil away was by the word of God. Abraham literally protected the offering and physically drove away the things that were trying to eat the promises away. We understand that we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities rulers of darkness in high places. We drive away the enemy from all promises by decreeing the word of God.
It is written: By His stripes, I am healed
It is written: What God has joined together
It is written: God has plans to prosper me
Drive the buzzards away from your promises by decreeing the word of the Lord!
