What are you “LETTING” in your life?

In my study last night I was reading through Genesis 1. In the KJV version I found as God was creating everything that there were 8 references to the word “Let.” I then went to the Complete Jewish Bible and found 15 references of the word “Let.” When God was creating everything and everyone only the things that He “Let” came into existence. I then went to the dictionary to look up the word “Let” and found two meanings for the same word: Let can mean to allow(permit) or fail to prevent(prohibit). The number 8 is used in connection with “new beginnings” and the number 15 is used in connection with “Divine Grace.”

Matthew 16:19 (Complete Jewish Bible (CJB) I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven. Whatever you (let) prohibit on earth will be prohibited(let) in heaven, and whatever you permit(let) on earth will be permitted(let) in heaven.”

Today take a look at your life, marriages etc. and make a list of the things that you are letting (either permitting or prohibiting) take the keys which is the Word of God and create as God did in Genesis 1. You are made in His image and likeness, so take the keys and “LET”(lock or unlock) what is needed in your life.

Prayer

Lord we honor, praise and adore You. We ask for forgiveness of any and all sin. We plead the blood of Jesus over our lives, husbands lives, children’s lives and family members lives. We thank You that You have given us all power and authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy. We thank You that You have given us the keys to the kingdom of heaven and that we can LET “lock and unlock” those things that are needed in are lives so that we can live heaven on earth. We bind Your Mind(Your Word) to our minds, we bind Your Will(Your Word) to our will. We search through the treasure of Your Heart to unlock the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven. Give us an insatiable desire for the things of God and His Word. In Jesus name, Amen!

Have a blessed day!

I am an author and inspirational speaker. My new book are titled: "RESTORATION" and " God's Appointed Position in Prayer - Praying Wives Devotionals." Covenant is something that we must take seriously. God is a covenant God and everything he does is based on covenant. As wives we have a responsibility to God, to honor our marriages even when it seems others don't.
