There is a story in 1 Kings 17 where God has commanded a widow to take care of the prophet Elijah and in the process her son dies due to an illness. How is it that Elijah goes to follow God’s directions and the one that he has been assigned to bless suffers.

Sound familiar???

God has given you instructions in following Him and it just so happens that in your decisions to follow God’s commands, your children start acting crazy, friends turn their back on you, your marriage goes haywire and all because you said “Yes” to God I will obey.

This is just to encourage you that although everything may not be looking the way you want it to right now, God has not forgotten you. Continue to be faithful to your marital vows although your spouse may be involved in adultery, continue to love that wayward child although they may be stealing from you, be obedient and watch how God turns things around in your favor.

The widow woman experienced pain while being obedient to God in caring or His Prophet and in the end by her seeing God’s hand she KNEW that God was who He said He was the entire time.

“Now by this I KNOW that you are a man of God, and that the word of the Lord in your mouth is the TRUTH.” 1 Kings 17:24

The Stand – The “Worse” Part

The Bride and Groom look into each others eyes as they lock in love and repeat the words that the Pastor speaks on the wedding day. As they both “AGREE” on the for better or worse part of the vows they either aren’t aware of the test that will follow or just consider the words a repetitive speech spoken at a wedding. What do you do when “The Worse” happens. What do you do when you find something out that devastates your entire world? Separation? Divorce? Pray?

Every couple’s “worse” may vary but one common thread is that it brings one or the other spouse to their knees crying out to God on how to handle it. See when you are a Christian and understand how God feels about covenant and divorce you don’t just run to the nearest courthouse. We are in the world but not of the world. The world runs and gets a divorce, the body of Christ must seek His Will for their situation.

The Worse could be: adultery, gambling, rebellion, lovelessness, workaholics, varying addictions and the list goes on. The question is what happens when the “worse” comes knocking at your door and what happens when it comes knocking 3 months, 6 months, 10 years… after you say I do. What do you do when you have entered into a covenant in which God is the 3fold cord?

  1. NO one told Moses, Abraham, David, Joshua all of the trials that they woud face. God just called them and said go here and you will do this but He did not tell them all the things they would have to face to get there.
  2. NO one enters holy matrimony aware of all the trials that they would face. If they did they probably would never sign up
  3. NO one can expect every day to be awesome but the movies and so called couples we view make it seem that every day is awesome. This is simply not true. Many couples smile in public and fight in private
  4. Love is blind but marriage is an eye opener – 9.9 times out of 10 marriage is going to reveal the shortcomings, sin or addictions that no one saw coming before.

The devil hates covenant. The enemy did not care about you fornicating or living together before you got married but the minute you said I do he put his boxing gloves on.

Marriage is the representation of God and the Body of Christ and the devil will do everything in his power to destroy it.

So what do you do when what you thought was perfect is not? Seek His Face!

Only God can direct your steps and He will!

The Stand – The enemy tried to kill me

Standing takes a toll on your mind, body and soul. There are many days that you will think you are losing your mind because that is what the enemy wants you to think. he wants you to believe that all of this is your fault and send you into your natural abilities to bring that person (spouse, child etc.) back into your life. How many of you have done any of the following:

  1. Driving around looking for their car
  2. Sitting up waiting until they walk back into the house only to violently berage them with questions
  3. Calling their phone over and over, leaving thousands of messages
  4. Sat outside their place of employment/school
  5. Pace the floors all night long, beating yourself up for what’s happened
  6. Lost weight because you cant eat and I don’t mean fasting
  7. Ended up in the hospital

The constant crying, tossing and turning at night, sleepless nights, needing a sleeping pill just take the edge off because your thoughts will not cease.

Two major things happened in my body during the issues in my life. I just want everyone to understand the pressure that stress can take on your body while you are trying to process the trials in your marriage you are experiencing. My gallbladder had to be removed and during the surgery the surgeon found that it had literally stuck to my liver. Then 2 years later almost ended up in a diabetic coma…..BUT GOD SAID NOT SO!!!

Family, you cannot allow this test to take your life. Pull yourself together and learn to drop stuff off in the lap of Jesus. Can you give Him praise dead? NO! You have to complete the mission, break the curse so that your children don’t have to do it. You have been chosen so you have to pull yourself together, seek the face of God like never before, learn what you need to learn and pass the test. If you don’t pass it you will have to repeat it. Don’t be in such a hurry to get something you have not passed the test for. This will cause you to be rerouted back into the classroom. Slow it down, learn, take the test and pass the 1st time!

Standing is not easy. Standing does not have a set time attached to it.

Standing does however have a reward at the end of it but you need to be alive to enjoy it!

But he who endures to the end shall be saved. Matthew 24:13

The Stand – Why are they so mean to me?

I have seen many posts regarding the meanness and the nastiness of spouses and not understanding why they are acting like that. Why is he or she being so mean? What did I do?

If you have been called to stand you must understand that because of the God in you, you have BECOME AN ENEMY TO THE ENEMY.

The goal of the enemy is to get you so wrapped up in what is being said or done to you that you forget about your assignment which is to pray for the salvation and deliverance of the spouse that is being tormented by demonic forces.

I never loved you

The thought of you makes me sick

I should have never married you

The only reason I am with you is because of my children

The goal is to have you so broken down in your emotions that depression and despair swallows you up making you completely unable to operate in your weapon of spiritual warfare because now a root of bitterness has you anchored in defeat.

This is not easy to get around. We are human and we have emotions so we have to ask the Holy Spirit to help us!!!

When a man’s ways please the Lord , He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him. Proverbs 16:7 NKJV

Lord make our enemies to be at peace with us.

The Stand – Curse Breaker – Generational Blessing Release

Many of the trials and tribulations we face were set up strategically by the enemy in an attempt to get us to surrender our generational blessings.

There is a blessing in living an upright life.

Psalm 112:2b The generation of the upright will be blessed.

There are many tests that our ancestors failed either due to their lack of understanding, wisdom that God has now granted you. For example, great grandpa was unable to end the curse of adultery but God knew that “you” would be born one day and that “you” would be able to stand the test and conquer it.

We have to start looking at things differently.

The test was set up so that you would give in to the same demons your ancestors faced BUT GOD…He knew that “you” would be able to STAND and because you STOOD and did NOT give in, the curse has been stayed and NOW all of the generational blessings that have been blocked for generations can be released into your life.

You are in line for great grandpa’s, grandpa’s, dad’s generational blessings, the blessings they did not qualify for now are coming your way. You passed the test so receive your reward!

A Prayer of Repentance – Personalized

Psalm 51 King James Version (KJV)

51 Have mercy upon (Insert Name), O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out (Insert Name)’s transgressions.

Wash (Insert Name) thoroughly from their iniquity, and cleanse (Insert Name)’s from their sin.

For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me.

Against thee, thee only, has (Insert Name) sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest.

Behold, (Insert Name) was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did (his/her) mother conceive me.

Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.

Purge (Insert Name) with hyssop, and they shall be clean: wash (Insert Name), and they shall be whiter than snow.

Make (Insert Name) to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice.

Hide (Insert Name)’s face from my sins, and blot out all their iniquities.

10 Create in (Insert Name) a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within (him/her).

11 Cast (Insert Name) not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from (him/her).

12 Restore unto (Insert Name) the joy of thy salvation; and uphold (him/her) with thy free spirit.

13 Then will (Insert Name) teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee.

14 Deliver (Insert Name) from bloodguiltiness, O God, thou God of my salvation: and my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness.

15 O Lord, open thou (Insert Name) lips; and (his/her) mouth shall shew forth thy praise.

And the Lord said to Moses,

“Cut two tablets of stone like the FIRST ONES,

and I will write on THESE TABLETS “THE WORDS”

that WERE on the FIRST TABLETS which you broke.” Exodus 34:1

What God spoke over your life before the foundations of the world has not changed. You may have sinned, broken covenant or rebelled against the call but what He said about you has not changed. New stones but same words. Go get new stones and be ready to receive and walk in the same Word He gave you before the mess.

We change our minds but God doesn’t!

…SOMETHING BLUE (Holy Spirit – Ruach HaKodesh)

Wedding traditions include the “tradition” of the bride receiving three things: something new, something old, something borrowed and SOMETHING BLUE. The Lord gave me some revelation into the “something blue” that I would like to share with you.

The color blue represents the Ruach HaKodesh, or Holy Spirit of God. Therefore the color blue is representative of covering yourself with the presence of God. Blue also represented something divine, which is why royal blue set people apart from the rest of the common world in biblical times. Therefore, to have a something blue represents having something divine and royal, and served to remind each wearer of his significance in God’s sight.

To all wives or wives to be I want you to look at this as not a tradition or just something you do on your wedding day. Actually the wedding day is just the beginning as you begin your marital journey including the very presence of God in your marital covenant. That “blue” is significant to the fact that NO matter what you face in your marriage that because the Holy Spirit is that part of the 3fold cord that your situation is fully capacitated by the very presence of God and that His Divinity and Royalty are a constant reminder to those looking on or possibly tampering with your purpose and destiny that God is involved.

The Holy Spirit is there. He is real. If your marriage is perfect great, STILL acknowledge Him. If your marriage is not great, Acknowledge Him. Let divinity and royalty touch your situation.

The Hittite – Spirit of Fear

  1. “Hittite” means, “sons of terror”; the Hittites were descendants of Heth, whose name means “terror”. The word “terror” refers to an extreme manifestation of fear, and is always related to an element of mystery.
  2. Hittites, being spirits of terror, are stealth operators that attack the emotions and are the spirits behind nightmares and non-rational phobias such as claustrophobia, agoraphobia, exaggerated fear of dogs, and fear of being in the dark. As anyone who has suffered from a phobia can testify, terror produces a sense of deep emotional despair and torment, and causes a desire not to live anymore. Hittite spirits, therefore, are also behind suicides
  3. If you are undergoing deep emotional despair, and suicidal thoughts are haunting you, you are being attacked by Hittite spirits.
  4. A strong prophetic calling usually implies Hittite (i.e.- terrorist) attacks
  5. That battle with despair throughout your life is the result of a strong prophetic calling. God has a mighty calling for you; you have a strong prophetic purpose. Bear the brunt of the Hittite attack; be brave in Christ, and, with the passing of time, you will see the Hittite spirits fleeing from you in humiliating defeat, and your suffering and despair will serve as seed in the kingdom of God to produce mighty victories in the spirit realm that will bless and liberate the lives of many.
  6. A person who suffers from deep emotional despair usually falls into states of deep depression and sadness. If you ever look into a person’s eyes and perceive a sense of deep sadness and despair, you are looking into the eyes of a person under Hittite attack.
  7. Since Hittite spirits prey on people’s emotions, they like to stay in the dark and remain unseen to the mind, whispering speculations into the person’s emotions. This means that people who have the nasty habit of spreading rumors and speculations are people who harbor Hittite spirits in their hearts.
  8. Hittites are distorters of prophetic emotions; they drive people to suicide and despair by portraying a prophetic vision that is not truth-based; Hittites are the spirits that drive terrorists to commit suicide attacks and to shed their lives for false causes; wherever Hittites invade, a sense of chaos, purposelessness, and emptiness soon sets in.

You Hittite spirit, I bind you and your powers from operating against me to break me or to cause me to fear. The activities of doubt and unbelief are bound in my life, in Jesus’ name.  I command you to loose me from fear and the spirit of fear.  All your assignments for my life are brought to naught. And therefore I am free, in Jesus’ name.

The Death of a Strongman

Exodus 2:23 (NKJV) Now it happened in the process of time that the king of Egypt died. Then the children of Israel groaned because of the bondage, and they cried out; and their cry came up to God because of the bondage.

In this scripture “the king of Egypt” was symbolic of a force that had control over the children of Israel. The bondage represented here was a “generational” bondage. Once the strongman aka king of Egypt died, the cries of those in bondage reaches the ears of God.

Whatever your bondage is or the one you are praying for, bind the strongman of that sin and your cries will reach the ears of God.
