Imposing Faith

Art 101: Imposing Faith

Hebrews Chapter 11 is noted as being the hallmark of fame in the bible. In detail it explained different biblical people and how faith was their mechanism for reaching the promise. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen; it is in essence a supernatural occurrence that is very real but invisible. Those promises that we have yet to see fulfilled in the natural realm, lie in the real but unseen realm.
One night my Pastor preached a message “From process to the promise.”

An artist has a technique which by terminology is called “impose.” Impose is a process that is used to complete a finished product. Impose to an artist means to print an image over another image so that both are seen at once. Another definition of impose is to lay on or set as something to be borne, endured, obeyed, fulfilled or paid with authority.

When we pray the Word, we are actually imposing the Word of God with the delegated authority that He has given us, laying the Word on or setting it on top of our natural circumstances which births the promise after we have endured, obeyed God who fulfilled and paid everything by placing His Son on the Cross. What we have to understand is that when laying the Word of God over a particular situation, the Word of God transforms that situation into what you are praying. For example, when the Word (Spiritual) is laid on top of cancer (Natural), the Word of God regarding healing has the ability to transform that cancer into healing.

One of the main tactics of the enemy is trying and to get us focus on what we see with our natural eyes (I am preaching to the choir on this note) instead of the fact that the solution which is in the Word of God has ‘imposing authority” when spoken in faith over our circumstances and situations. Let me use the movie the Matrix as an example, there is a character named Agent Smith. Agent Smith has the ability to touch another person and make them look like him, act like him and think like him. We have the same ability in imposing faith; remember we are made in the image and likeness of God. We can reach into our situations, speak the Word of God by faith with authority and by imposing the supernatural over the natural transforming that situation to look like, act like and think like the Word of God. We walk by faith and not by sight. Close your natural eyes and walk in imposing faith today.

First Alert – 911

This morning as I was headed out to work I looked up and noticed the ‘First Alert’ device that is attached to the ceiling in the door way. The device that we have in our home is a combination of smoke and carbon dioxide detectors. It is able to detect the visible threats to our lives as well as the invisible threats. When the smoke (visible) rises to the point of detection, the alarm sounds. When carbon dioxide (invisible) rises to the point of detection, the alarm sounds.
Our spirits should be wired the same way. Some attacks you can see and fight with your naked eye and some you should be able to see and fight with your “Mind’s eye.” Your entire mind, soul and body should be wired to detect those things that are seen and those that are not seen. Your natural eyes can see sickness, debt, betrayal, and other works of the flesh but your “Mind’s eye” should see: healing, wealth, faithfulness, covenant and fruits of the spirit etc. When you have a relationship with God, He will share the unseen things, I am a witness of that.
Note: just because you may not be experiencing something right now does not mean that you should not safeguard that area with prayer. Always keep the invisible shield of protection around every area of your life not just the ones you can see at the present time.
Now here is where the alarm comes into play, remember the alarm goes off when the detector detects a threat, so when the alarm goes off due to sickness, debt, unfaithfulness, these are counter-attacked by those things in the “Mind’s eye.” Hebrews 11:1 – “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” When the alarm sounds; you must begin to speak those things that are not as though they were. The alarm is there to alert you not destroy you. Everything is not the devil. Sometimes things happen because God wants to awaken the sleeping giant. He wants to teach and show you the power that you are working with and those gifts that are lying dormant in you that He placed within you before you were formed in your mother’s belly.
You have the power to speak to those mountains and they must move out of your way. Remember greater is He who is in me, than he who is in the world. Many times we crush under pressure not realizing that the road to victory is in our mouth. Everything including the kitchen sink, Jesus Christ has placed on the inside of us that can crush the head of the enemy, tread upon serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy.
The alarm silences when the threat has left. Many of us while cooking, wave a towel around the alarm to make the smoke go away. The way to make threats to your family, destiny and purpose go away and lineup with the Will of God lies in the “waving” of the Word of God to overcome the powers of darkness.

When the threat of sickness comes, wave the Word: It is written “I shall live and not die and declare the goodness of the Lord.”
When the threat of poverty comes your way, wave the Word: It is written“I am a tither and the Lord rebukes the devourer for my sake.”

When the threat of unfaithfulness comes into your marriage wave the Word: It is written “What God has joined together let no man break apart.”

When you see the smoke, or when you don’t but you sense something in your “knower”: Wave the Word it wards off every attack!

Candy Crush – Prayer and Fasting

Some of you may be aware of the latest “addiction” in internet games. I promise there needs to be rehab concerning this game. The concept is simple yet addicting as all get out. You seem to have this unquenchable desire to complete the next level and before you know it, it is 2 hours later. 🙂 There was this level 65 that I stayed on for two weeks, number one because I refused to pay 4.99 and was determined to do without doing so. Finally after many days of trying, I put together the right combination to blow everything up. A chocolate ball plus a striped candy immediately wiped every hindrance out of the way and I made it to the next level. Woohoo!

The Holy Spirit showed me something in this combination that literally took every obstructing obstacle out of the way. Prayer works just like that. Sometimes we pray, repeating the same moves, same words and it seems that we find ourselves fighting the same battles over and over again. There are some battles that need a little bit more and we have got to get back to this design.

Matthew 17:20-21: Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, “Why could we not cast it out?” 20 So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief;for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. 21 However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.”

Prayer was the “chocolate ball” and the “striped candy” represented fasting. Together they annihilated everything that needed to be taken out to get to the next level. If you are finding yourself stuck at a certain place, going in circles unable to press through and you know that God has shown you greater and given you a promise, maybe just maybe you need a combination of prayer and fasting, and if you really want to see the blessing add a seed it to it which brings the 100 fold.

Use the game of Candy Crush as an example of warfare, you are guaranteed victory, because you are more than a conqueror, you are an OVERCOMER! Some of your situations just require a little more power, add fasting and watch God!

The Notebook

As I prepared for bed last night exhausted from the day,  I had the bible open and even attempted to thumb through it. As my eyelids grew heavy I whispered these words: Lord speak to me through Your Word and I fell asleep.

When I woke up the next morning, my blurry vision began to notice a red spiral notebook poked out from the shelf of my closet. I pondered for a second because I don’t remember it being like that the night before. I opened it up and the Word spoke to me.

In this notebook, I write down scriptures, personalized prayers for the situations I experience. The first page of the notebook had this scripture(Isaiah 55:8-11) – “My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways….so is My Word that goes forth from My Mouth: It will will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

The Lord spoke to me through His Word that I had written in a notebook. Write the vision and make it plain. Even though it had been written in the notebook, it is still His Word. The way that He chose to speak to me was His way but it was still His Word!

The Lord is speaking in ways you might not deem usual. The one way to confirm if the Lord is actually speaking is if it lines up with His Word, even if it is written in a notebook. 😉

Elyashib – The God who restores

As I was driving into work one day , I noticed a work van with the word “Restoration” written across it in big bold letters.

I then began to read the smaller print of the type of repairs that this particular company worked with: Fire/Smoke damage, mold removal ,and water damage. In any of these cases the work begins with removing the damaged areas and then replacing it with new.

In doing this if the job is performed well enough, people will look upon the house and unless they are told will not see any evidence of the destruction/damage that was there before.

Wearing the armor of God prevents fire/smoke damage, Speaking the Word of God with faith prevents mold, and realizing that the Holy Spirit is very much the third person of the Godhead will be used in rebuilding what has been damaged. In these natural examples, homeowners have insurance, in the spirit we have insurance also and it is the Blood of Jesus. The Blood of Jesus destroys the bad ( the damaged areas) and resurrects (restores) to make it look like new at the same time.

In Jeremiah 18:4 – “And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter; so he made it again into another vessel, as it seemed good to the potter to make.” Have you ever thrown something away and didn’t mean too? You resist on reaching into the trash because what was good is now mixed up with “mess” so you just leave it there and buy another one. Instead of reaching in, grabbing it, rinsing it off and using it.

God is able to make your marriage into a new one. Just like He reached in and grabbed you from your sin, washed and rinsed you off for His use, the same can be done for your marriage. Just like restoring a home takes time from the damages incurred so does your marriage.

It is written in Amos 9:11 – “On that day I will raise up the tabernacle of David, which has fallen down, and repair its damages; I will raise up its ruins, and rebuild it as in the days of old.”

Elyashib is His name, The God who restores! Have a blessed day!

Lord we come before You today standing in agreement for those believing for their marriage to be repaired and/or restored. We plead the blood of Jesus over every marital covenant represented in this email and declare that the blood speaks on behalf these blood covenants in Jesus Name.

We thank You that each wife and husband are growing closer and closer to You each and every day and the vows that they spoke with as a witness are speaking louder than their circumstances. Help each praying wife to turn her eyes away from the natural which is temporary and look toward the spiritual which is permanent. Help them to pray with the eyes of God and not their own. We plead the blood of Jesus over every marriage, we decree that the balm of Gilead is running over and through their marriage right now.

We thank You that each spouse in this type if situation has chosen to look to the hills from whence cometh her help, their help comes from the Lord.

We thank You for the testimony of restoration in advance.

In Jesus Name, Amen!

Jesus Closed the Book!

Close the book!

I love the story in the bible (Luke 4:16-20) where Jesus walks into the temple, opens the scriptures, finds Himself in the Word, reads (Isaiah 61:1-3) it out loud, then says “today this word has been fulfilled.” and closes the book. We were made in His image and His likeness. He said even greater works than this would we do. Daily we should be opening the book, find the answers to our situations and then close the book once the promise has been applied.
The key was that Jesus already knew who He was, He just had to fulfill the scripture and He did it by opening, finding, reading, decreeing and closing the book. The same goes for each of us, we must know who we are and that we come from holy stock. 🙂

I challenge everyone: if we are made in His image and His likeness then we too can open the scriptures, find ourselves(answers to our situations) in the Word, read it out loud, then decree “today this word has been fulfilled” and close the book. Here are a few examples:

Feeling ashamed? Isaiah 61:7 – Instead of my shame I will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace I will rejoice in my inheritance. And so I will inherit a double portion in my land, and everlasting joy will be mine. Close the book.

Been faithful? The Lord rewards the faithful. The Word says that if I am faithful over a few things, He will make me ruler over much. Close the book.

Has something been stolen/robbed from you? Isaiah 61:8-9 “For my Lord, loves justice; He hates robbery and wrongdoing. In His faithfulness He will reward me and make an everlasting covenant with me. 9 My descendants will be known among the nations and their offspring among the peoples. All who see them will acknowledge that they are a people the Lord has blessed. Close the book.

Marriage issues? Mark 10:9 “What God has joined together no man, woman, or spirit shall break apart.” Close the book

Family a mess? Isaiah 61:4-6 – “My God will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated; He will renew the ruined cities that have been devastated for generations. Strangers will shepherd my flocks; foreigners will work my fields and vineyards. And we will be called priests of the Lord, we will be named ministers of our God. We will feed on the wealth of nations, and in their riches we will boast.” Close the book.

God is not a man that He should lie nor the son of man that He should repent. Open Your Word, Find yourself  (the answer to your situation), Read it out loud so that the enemy can hear it, Decree that today it has been fulfilled, and then Close the book!

How to prevent a Destiny Miscarriage

Have you ever gone to the Word looking for one thing and the Holy Spirit points something else out? I went looking for the way in which words can harm you when the Holy Spirit took me to the paragraph above it.

2 Kings 2:19-22 – The men of the city said to Elisha, “My lord can see that this is a pleasant city to live in; but the water is bad, so that the ground is causing miscarriages.” “Bring me a new jug,” he said, “and put salt in it.” They brought it to him. He went out to the source of the water, threw salt into it and said, “This is what Adonai says: ‘I have healed this water; it will no longer cause death or miscarrying.” The water was healed and has remained healed to this day, in keeping with Elisha’s spoken word.

Let’s look at this as the pleasant city being our bodies being polluted by someone or something other than the Holy Spirit. This is where we must take a detailed look at our lives and see if there are any miscarriages taking place with our destinies, purposes, dreams, and visions because of what we are drinking. They made a note that the water is bad and therefore that the ground was causing miscarriages. Our outside is looking wonderful but it is the inside causing us to miscarry. If what is in you is bad, then the ground into which you sow will not produce and dies on contact.

Let’s follow what Elisha instructs them to do:

(1) Bring a new jug. Daily ask the Holy Spirit to infill you again. Never take for granted the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. Repent and ask for forgiveness if you have grieved Him in any way. Never be too proud to repent. Refill me Lord!

(2) Put salt in it. we all know that salt is a preservative and it purifies. It has an uncanny ingredient that does several things at one time. It takes out the bad stuff and makes it suitable for use. It depletes and replenishes. That is what the blood of Jesus does. It destroys the old sinful nature and resurrects the new nature.

(3)Then Elisha went to the source of the water (the root). He didn’t just go to the water, he went to where the water’s source came from; this bitter water had source, a beginning. There are times where you cannot fight from a distance; you have to go to the source of the matter. You have to get down into the soil and pull of up the roots of generational curses, negative words, hexes, vexes and curse them at the root (source).

(4) Elisha threw the salt in it and spoke God’s Word to it: “This is what Adonai says: ‘I have healed this water; it will no longer cause death or miscarrying.” The bible says that you are the salt of the earth, how does salt get on food? It is sprinkled. You have to sprinkle God’s Word onto your situation.

As you speak the Word of God to your situation, the situation attacking dies and the solution comes to life. Just like salt. Salt has the ability to remove impurities and add flavor. The Word adds the flavor that is needed to bring things to pass. The Word of God has the power to take out the bad and replace it with good but only if you open your mouth! The moment Elisha spoke that word; “the water was healed and remained healed to this day in keeping with Elisha’s spoken word.”

Stop letting word curses and generational curses disrupt your bloodline. Throw some salt in it. Speak the Word of God to and over it. He sent His Word and healed them. Send His Word to your situation. It is written: I love the Lord God with all my heart, all my soul and my entire mind. Sprinkle it…..It is written: I will have no other god’s before my God. Sprinkle it….It is written: I will live and not die and declare the goodness of the Lord because His Name is Jehovah Rophe….Sprinkle it…..My children live in divine prosperity because they prosper even as their soul prospers….Sprinkle it…..It is written: What God has joined together let no man, woman, or spirit separate.” It is written: “No weapon formed against me shall prosper.”

In Jesus name, Amen! Sprinkle It………………..

The Power in “Remind”

In 1 Samuel 25 the story of Nabal and Abigail is depicted. Paraphrasing for time sake, Nabal has offended David, David is on his way to kill Nabal and every male associated with Nabal’s house. Abigail has been notified by a servant and now knows that if anything is going to be done that she must do it herself. Abigail loads up with peace offerings and meets David and his entourage. Out of all that Abigail says to David, there is one powerful thing that she does that turns everything around and that is that she “reminds” David of his future and how this act of vengeance could come back and bite him later.

Remind is defined in Webster’s as: to put in mind of something. This literally means to put (thoughts, ideas) in the mind of something or someone and this is done by speaking the Word of God. It has almost of a futuristic tone to it. In vs.30-31: “And it shall come to pass, when the LORD has done for my lord according to all the good that He has spoken concerning you, and has appointed you ruler over Israel, that this will be no grief to you, nor offense of heart to my lord, either that you have shed blood without cause, or that my lord has avenged himself.”

Abigail reminds him that not only has God spoken certain things into his life but because he has decided to not take vengeance for himself that he can enter into the promise without any blood on his hands. Ephesians 4:22-24 – “that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.”This is what we must do every day. We must speak the Word of God over our life which replaces the former conduct and renew our minds by reminding our spirits of those promises that God has spoken over our lives. God did not create us to be liars, greedy, fornicators etc…, His promises pertain to the new not the former things. Before the foundation of the world He created each and every person with a destiny and purpose that was to be completed while on this earth. He created us to be the head and not the tail, above and never beneath.

Ephesians 4:11-16 is an awesome example of reminding ourselves of what we are: “And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ— from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.”

When praying for your husbands, families, children etc. you must speak into existence, “remind” with the Word of God whom God predestined before the foundation of the world not what you currently see before you right now. Speak those things that are not as though they were. Words are powerful. You can curse or bless with your mouth. Let everything out of your mouth edify. Speaking what is invisible changes the visible . “Now faith” is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Today that child or loved one might be using drugs, but before the foundation of the world, God spoke something in that person’s mind (spirit) and that is what you must “remind” when you pray for them. Take the time today  to remind the atmosphere of who you are in Christ. Remind today that “I am created in His image and likness.” In Jesus name, Amen!

It’s an inside job

Many times the situations or circumstances that hurt you the most are caused by the persons in your inside circle. Judges 16:1-12
